But in my defense, i'm now a fashion designer and it takes a lot of my time(i'll tell you guys all about it later *wink*)but still, not good enough. I'm back now for good (i prayš)and will make up for lost times.

So recently i had a situation that birthed this post. We all know how powerful words are and how they can either create or destroy, lift up spirits or crush them, hurt and frighten us,break hearts or mend them.

Often times,we get so carried away in our anger that we say stuffs that sometimes we don't even mean but, can't be unsaid or taken back. Wrong words that has gone out of our mouths are like bullets. once they are out, they must injure and even though the person survives the shots and the injuries heal, they leave behind scars that cannot be erased. There are lots of negative words that close relatives told me back in the day that i still remember. I don't remember the words because I am resentful but i don't because, over time, i have become what they told me i couldn't be. So,negative words can be advantageous sometimes because they tend to push you and make you rise above the status-quo and be better.

Poorly timed and poorly chosen words have the ability to kill enthusiasm, break someone's heart, crushes spirits and shatters self-esteem and confidence. They also can cause deep emotional and psychological wounds that takes a very long time to heal. Words in general have as much advantages as it has disadvantages so choose them wisely.

Conclusively, think and choose your words before it leaves your mouth to your spouses, kids, neighbours and people you come in contact with everyday, don't be a toxic person. Let your timing be right if you want to criticize and don't always say the first thing that comes to your mind, when you are angry. If it helps, walk away and express your displeasure later.

Do enjoy your week and affect a life positively today. bye.... for now ciaoBecqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-7785451831668414052016-02-22T11:20:00.000+01:002016-02-22T11:23:44.882+01:00The Stone Cutter

This story will really make you think about
where you are in life and where you wish you
were. Maybe where you are right now is
exactly where you're meant to be.
There was once a stone cutter who was
dissatisfied with himself and with his position
in life.
One day he passed a wealthy merchant's
house. Through the open gateway, he saw
many fine possessions and important visitors.
"How powerful that merchant must be!"
thought the stone cutter. He became very
envious and wished that he could be like the
merchant.
To his great surprise, he suddenly became the
merchant, enjoying more luxuries and power
than he had ever imagined, but envied and
detested by those less wealthy than himself.
Soon a high official passed by, carried in a
sedan chair, accompanied by attendants and
escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone,
no matter how wealthy, had to bow low
before the procession. "How powerful that
official is!" he thought. " I wish that I could be
a high official!"
Then he became the high official, carried
everywhere in his embroidered sedan chair,
feared and hated by the people all around. It
was a hot summer day, so the official felt very
uncomfortable in the sticky sedan chair. He
looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in the
sky, unaffected by his presence. "How
powerful the sun is!" he thought. "I wish that
I could be the sun!"
Then he became the sun, shining fiercely
down on everyone, scorching the fields,
cursed by the farmers and laborers. But a
huge black cloud moved between him and
the earth, so that his light could no longer
shine on everything below. "How powerful
that storm cloud is!" he thought. " I wish that I
could be a cloud!"
Then he became the cloud, flooding the fields
and villages, shouted at by everyone. But
soon he found that he was being pushed
away by some great force, and realized that it
was the wind. "How powerful it is!" he
thought. " I wish that I could be the wind!"
Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off
the roofs of houses, uprooting trees, feared
and hated by all below him. But after a while,
he ran up against something that would not
move, no matter how forcefully he blew
against it - a huge, towering rock. "How
powerful that rock is!" he thought. "I wish
that I could be a rock!"
Then he became the rock, more powerful
than anything else on earth. But as he stood
there, he heard the sound of a hammer
pounding a chisel into the hard surface, and
felt himself being changed. "What could be
more powerful than I, the rock?" he thought.
He looked down and saw far below him the
figure of a stone cutter.

Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-34911348018053349372014-06-19T17:36:00.001+01:002014-06-19T17:36:22.773+01:00BackHey lovelies (covers face) I trust you guys have been very okay and doing wonderfully well..yes? I am really sorry for going AWOL and I feel so guilty for been away from this wonderful family for sooooooo long. Hope I've been forgiven (shines teeth).

Well since I've been away, lots of stuffs has happened in my life that I can only be grateful to God for. First,I finally went for service last year November after been kept at home for quite a long time. (I know it's stale news though and I should have shared it since with you guys but since I'm back,I'm gonna update y'all with every significant stuff that has happened in my life). Back to the service,I made quite a few friends in camp but I've been close to one ever since till date. Camp had its fun times but,I was more of the people that were counting the days to run fast so I can get out. That's all about NYSC and its wahala for now.

On May 2nd and 3rd,I tied the knot with my beau. I never knew planning a wedding could be that exasperating. From taking care of the little details because,we didn't hire a planner to,tolerating very annoying relatives but in all it was a very successful and colourful event and I can't help, but be grateful to God for both a successful ceremony and the wonderful man He blessed me with.

Now,guess what more blessing God has blessed us with? Well.............. I'm going to let you guys keep guessing cuz,I ain't spilling any more gist for now...hehehehehe. See y'all pretty soon and you guys should continue to have a blessed week. I'm as cool as ever. Now let's get to today's topic:

So I was reading again the story of Tabitha(Dorcas) in the bible after so many years cuz,the last time before this one was in Religious class in Secondary school...the story became more interesting cuz,I had a more revealing understanding of who she really was. She affected the lives of those around her with her good deeds that even in death,it still spoke for her. She gave alms to the poor, made garments for widows and I'm sure they couldn't imagine life without her when she died hence, they sent for Apostle Peter.. That's exactly the kind of woman i want to be. Also the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman, did excellent works and it was said of her that; ""Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all."

Some people just can't help themselves from doing evil cuz they actually derive pleasure, from seeing people suffer.. I'll say they're weak cuz it's a lot more easier,to do wickedly than to do good.

Below, are some good deed quotes by great men:

*Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth,so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life,
one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.

Buddha

*Life is short and if you're looking for extension, you had best do well. 'Cause there's good deeds and then there's good intentions. They are as far apart as Heaven and Hell.

Ben Harper

*To be doing good deeds is man's most glorious task.

Sophocles

*Let each man think himself an act of God, His mind a thought, his life a breath of God; And let each try, by great thoughts and good deeds, To
show the most of Heaven he hath in him.

Philip James Bailey

Do a good deed today as y'all have,a great week.Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-50695517789377831312013-06-13T16:51:00.001+01:002013-06-13T16:59:29.612+01:00Jumia.com attains record breaking milestone of over half a million friends on Facebook in 1 year of operations in Nigeria.<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

I know I've been away for God knows how long now but,I'm fully back now and no more being an absentee blogger*winks*.. I missed you'all oo and I hope I was missed too?

Life can be very annoying at times especially, when people try to justify their devilish and heinous crimes and actions.. The Woolwich butcher got me thinking about how wicked and incomprehensible, the human mind can be. No wonder the bible said, "the heart of man is desperately wicked;who can know it"? But really, who can? There are so many crimes being committed daily against humanity and the perpetrators, always have ready answers to give as to why they did it.

Over the years, humans have always had reasons both cogent and stupid ones, for doing that bad thing they did just to take away the guilt they may feel afterwards and this, has seared the conscience of many. An instance is,most people know there is something inherently wrong with taking free money, dispossessing people of their hard-earned money, living off the government, lying, being dependent and making no contribution to the society in which they live but choose to justify their acts by,joining the bandwagon of people that say, everyone is doing it so why shouldn't I?

To compensate for this deep inner feeling of unease, people who are getting something for nothing create, elaborate justifications and rationale to explain to themselves and to others, why they are entitled to this free money. People should stop justifying their evil acts and start doing the right things..

Y'all should have a fun-filled weekend.

Hey friends,it's been like forever since i made a post..truth is,i've been very distant from everything lately but thank God,i'm coming around..i trust you guys have been great.. I saw a link today on twitter and decided to open it and there,i found what i'm about to share with you guys..
Challenges in life, whether trivial or tragic, personal or global are unvoidable but,we can also get through them.. reading this actually helped me and i hope it helps someone too.

Laugh

Laughter is as much of an emotional release as crying, particularly when we can laugh at ourselves. There's always humor to be found in any situation as long as you're willing to look for it. Give yourself permission to laugh, even when times are rough. Find that one isolated moment that is funny regardless of the terrible big picture..

Move on...

If you dwell on painful parts of your life, you drain your spirit with negative emotions such as anger and resentment. Let go of that baggage like a hot potato! Only then can you let new positive experiences, opportunities and people into your life. No matter what challenge you might be facing, know that nothing stays the same.your problems will eventually end..
It's easy to feel defeated and sorry for yourself when challenges in life arise, however, you can take another approach. While you may not be able to always control what happens in life, you can always choose how to react to it.

Direct your attention

Challenges can be all-consuming,and it seems the more you think about them, the worse they get. Focus on something or someone else, and you'll give your mind and emotions a needed break.. work on a hobby, go out to a movie.. It's okay to escape for a while..

Be grateful

There is always something to be grateful for in every minute of everyday, whether it's the warm sun,a phone call from an old friend or just another day of living. When you make a list of everything that's great in your life, your one problem may not seem so terrible. And remind yourself that there are people that would trade their problems for yours in an instant..
How have y'all been?hope this year has started off interesting so far? I know it's coming late but, happy new year to y'all.*smiles* now back to the topic of today...

There are lots of serious stuffs happening in the world today that, most times you wanna be happy or be in a gleeful mood, you feel guilty because, you probably have just watched the news and have seen the level of wickedness and pains people are passing through on a daily basis,or have just heard about the death of a loved one,it goes on and on..... But in the midst of all this chaos, wickedness and pains,it is still ok to laugh.

Proverbs 17:22 said, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.. When we laugh and make merry even when,we are going through the most difficult of times,we tend to shame the devil and God,will give answers to our prayers speedily... Always be happy and let your countenance be cheerful today.Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-58744807460883798792012-12-29T12:48:00.000+01:002012-12-29T12:49:50.776+01:00It Is TimeHello blogsville, hope we're all doing splendidly? The yuletide season has been a very fun-filled one for me so far and I know,it will remain so.. How's the celebration with y'all going?hope you guys are having fun?...

Lots of us me inclusive, are procrastinators and we often fail to realize that, time waits for no one. Those who have mismanaged their time and opportunities in the past, always end up living regrets-filled lives and wish to turn back the hands of time.. Many wasted their time, being in careers that didn't give them fulfillment when they could have chosen otherwise..it's never easy, trying against all odds to do what you really love but at the same time,it's not impossible... Some are trapped in relationships and friendships that doesn't add value to their lives simply because, they are scared of change, and have refused to use their time judiciously..

Guiness always say in their ad that; There is a drop of greatness in every man but,you can only see the greatness in you when you stop wasting your time on things, that will only bring regrets later and start seeing that inner gift you have, and develop, nurture and create a conducive environment for it to thrive..It is not just a matter of how well one spends it, that is, how
time wasted is minimized...the challenge lies in spending it judiciously, ensuring results that
are effective and fruitful.

Stop wasting your time on frivolity and start something meaningful..

It is time to live up to your full potential

It is time to be a better person..

It is time to let go of your past and focus on your future..

It is time to open your heart to love and let go of your hurt..let love heal its wounds..

It is time to challenge yourself and do the impossible..

Time is your best capital: spend it judiciously..Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com32tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-38289377582245932772012-12-23T19:52:00.000+01:002012-12-23T19:53:10.781+01:00The Thoughts Of A Bitter,Lonely WomanCompliments of the season,I trust every one is as fabulous as I am..I was actually just chilling when my imaginations ran wild and gave birth to this poem. I'm not a professional poet infact,I'm not a poet like some people*they know themselves*lol but,I just decided to share my thoughts with you guys..it's not flawless and I hope you guys enjoy it.. So,I present to you my first work.. Happy reading.

In the stillness of the night
I sat with my thoughts
Thoughts about what the future holds in this cruel and cold world
My growing up was filled with so much hopes
But those hopes gave way to bitterness and rejection
I was the daughter of my mother
I was my father's daughter
I was loved
But death stole my most precious treasure
I am a woman
I am a bitter woman
A woman who had nothing to live for
But the most purest thing walked into my life
And I thought I had my miracle
My miracle,was my best friend
My confidant
But nature,was working against me
Now my miracle is gone
Gone with my hopes and my happiness
Now,I'm just a lonely woman
Sitting in this dark room
Alone with my thoughts
And the frogs in the mud just outside my house, are the only thing alive in my worldBecqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com23tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-90422816863387174412012-12-10T16:16:00.000+01:002012-12-11T09:51:59.153+01:00Loungin' by Mc Dowell's ReviewThe yuletide month was kickstarted with a blast in a fine city.On the 2nd of December, the beautiful city of Port Harcourt stood still for LOUNGING,an event organized by BUC'GREEN CONCEPT and sponsored by McDowell's and Lesukka Event Centre and Bar,which was also the venue of the event.

The event was a beautiful fusion of fashion, music, comedy and the introduction of a whiskey brand into the city of Port Harcourt by McDowell's.It centred on the showcasing of a few Nigerian talents in the fashion sphere and highlighted the likes of Ejiro Amos Tafiri from lagos, who was the major designer of the night and also Cecee Seed form lagos, then finally Snazzy fashion from Enugu. These young talents wowed the crowd with their beautiful designs and of course, beautiful models. However,i used my Blackberry to take pictures so the quality of the pictures might not be very good.Plus,i'm not a photographer so please make do with what i am able to offer.

Ejiro Amos Tafiri

Ejiro Amos Tafiri,a native of Delta state but based in lagos, was the major star of the day with very beatiful and original designs that got me drooling. She was supposed to be a medical student but on a visit to a designer's,she got inspired to pursue a career in fashion.Though her parents weren't pleased with the decision, she went ahead to become one of Nigeria's young fashion talents.Below are some of her designs, she's into female clothing.

The economy? Terrorism? Your health? Your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend? Kids? Your job? Your spiritual life? Your career? Your grades? Your past? Your future? Your family? Your financies? Your weaknesses? Your death?......and the list goes on and on and on...doesn't it?

I remember there was a song or jingle by John W. Peterson I use to sing, when I was much younger and the lyrics, made a lot of sense:

Why worry,when you can pray?
Trust Jesus,He'll be your stay.
Don't be a doubting Thomas,
Rest fully on His promise,
Why worry,worry,worry,when you can pray?

It's a cute and reassuring tune but,I still worry. Worry as I've come to understand,is a total waste of time and it doesn't change anything rather,it takes from you. All it does is,steal your joy and keeps you very busy, doing nothing..... Honestly,at times prayer feels pretty lame because, when we are deep in our worries,we feeel God has abandoned us or even hates us,or not interested at all in helping us and our situations. But the truth remains that,He is God and there is a reason He is withholding that job, contract,or that major breakthrough from us because,He will never give us anything He knows we ain't ready for.

The funny thing about God and our needs is that,He knows already what we need, and expects us to just ask and be patient while He works the process out.................. Always remember that,PATIENCE and TRUST is a virtue anyone who is expectant, must have.

Remain beautiful,beautiful people..

As for me,I'm as beautiful as ever*smiles*.

A lot has happened to me lately that has made me to be more appreciative of the things and the people in my life..it has also made me to not take for granted,God's love and grace. I have always been appreciative but i guess,I have not been thankful enough. I still whine when things aren't exactly how i want them to be...I still worry my pretty head about things I have no control over instead of thanking Him for things I have...I still feel sad instead of counting every affliction all joy believing,He will never leave me nor forsake me till the end of time...so now, i'm appreciating life, good health, love, family and friends more.

October 28th was my birthday and as the text messages, twitter messages, facebook messages kept on coming in from friends and loved ones,I couldn't help but think about how someone, somewhere didn't have the luxury of remembering their own birthdays let alone receive prayers from the people that mattered most in their lives...how lonely someone was somewhere,on their special day...how someone just breathe their last breath...how someone was in excrutiating pains and begging God to take their lives so they could be free from the suffering...... When I thought about all these and none of it was my case,I felt so Young,Alive and Thankful.

At some point in our lives,we make a list of the things we hope to achieve at a particular age and when we don't get them, some people tend to either question God,or think of themselves as failures but in our bitter and insensitive state,we fail to realize there are people that just turned that age and have not achieved half of the things we have and are taking for granted.... Thanking God for the things He has done and for the ones He is yet to do,will make Him do more.

Y'all should have a blessed weekend and remember,to remain beautiful and always be thankful..Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-65189963897570424612012-11-04T09:19:00.000+01:002012-11-04T09:20:10.806+01:00InvictusOut of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I'm fabulous as usual..

How strong are you? That is a tough question to answer right?whether you are a man or a woman, young or old. But,really,I want to ask....how do you define your strength? How do you know your limits? How do you know just how much you've got? When we are faced with difficulties,we often discover that we are much stronger than we think but,we shouldn't only discover our strengths when we are down.

Most people underestimate their strengths . As you go through your day, challenge your capacity. Test your limits, push yourself to find your true boundaries and define your strength. When you discover how much you've really got,you may surprise even yourself.

Have a fulfilled week ahead.
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou are, to dust thou returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each tomorrow
Find us farther than today.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act, - act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o'erhead!
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sand of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solenm main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us then be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

So this post is about doing things differently, something many of us find extremely difficult to do..by doing this, some people think it only increases their chances of failure but,it truly does much better things for you. By doing things differently, you can see life from a different perspective..

I have always been fascinated by people who are consistently successful at what they do;especially those who experience repeated success in many areas of their life throughout their lifetime. We all have our own examples of super successful people who we admire..but how do they do it? Over the years,we have studied the lives of numerous successful people, read their books, researched them online and I'm sure we know most of them, were not born into success;they simply did,and continue to do,things differently...there are many ways we can be distinct from the crowd e.g, (1)taking decisive and immediate actions....(2)discovering your potentials and working towards achieving your set goals.. There are people who had ventured into businesses just because everyone was doing it and when they didn't succeed, they blamed others or even the devil for their failures whereas, they ought to know better..

Though our society really does not allow one to be different cuz, there will always be critics when they see you ain't doing the normal business everyone is doing, or when you share your dreams with them,be sure they will discourage you but in spite of these,.we need to stand our ground and dare to be different in order to carve a niche for ourselves through hardwork and doing what we love doing and God,will definitely make us successful...

Like they say, taking the path less travelled can actually enrich our lives and the hardest thing about the road not taken is that, you never know where it might have led... At the end of the day, life is about choices: it's not hard to decide what we want our lives to be about. What is hard,is figuring out what we're willing to give up in order,to do the things we really care about. We can choose to focus on what we are not passionate about and remain slaves to those who have discovered theirs or we can choose to focus on our passions and dreams and work towards achieving them.. The latter is a far better and happier path.

Stay blessed and remain beautiful.Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-55142394727723981842012-09-07T16:30:00.003+01:002012-09-07T16:30:45.756+01:00The BridesmaidHey friends,I have been very lazy lately and so,I've been having difficulties in getting a lot of things done e.g updating my blog but,I have promised myself I'm gonna change because, being lazy isn't good for my complexion*grin*... I trust y'all have been very awesome cuz,I'm fabulous..

Last two weeks,my elder sister got married and I was very excited when she called to inform me that,I was gonna be her bridesmaid. Truth be told,I have never been one before so,I didn't know it's kinda stressful and I had no idea what to do because, the me I saw behind my sister that day, sucked big time..the saturday of the wedding was an environmental sanitation day so we had plenty of time on our hands to take care of our business before we went to the church. When we were all dressed up and the make-up artiste and the hair stylists have done their jobs,my sis called me and handed the things I'm gonna use on her and also gave me gloves to wear..,I was like,do maid-of-honours wear gloves?she just looked at me and said yes..within me,I was just thinking how uncomfortable I would be cuz,the last time I wore gloves was in secondary school during inter-house sports and on children's day*lol* but,I was still glad that the gloves were open..before we left for
the church, the ladies around knowing I'm a novice asked me to pin her veil and arrange her trail which I just told them I couldn't do and they all just kept laughing at me and calling me,"original bridesmaid"..

When we arrived at the church,it was another drama altogether cuz,I was having difficulties arranging her veil and the trail of her dress and at a time, the best man was telling me what to do*can you imagine?*..I just kept praying all the time for the pastor to wed them and let's move to the reception cuz,I was becoming very uncomfortable... Finally, we left the church and headed to the reception venue and I was kinda relieved cuz,the veil and the trail wasn't there anymore so,it was just me,the handfan and handkerchief. It happened that, where was arranged for us to sit had no fan that was close so,I had to do the fanning all the way..I just kept on fanning and dabbing her face and neck with the handkerchief till my hand began to shake from tiredness.

Just as I was praying for a miracle, the M.C called them out to dance and the spraying and presentation of gifts started..I just shouted halleluyah that,it's all overrrrrr.....I know any of my friends I pick to be my bridesmaid will maybe have a tougher or sweeter tale to tell.*lol*....... Y'all should have a great and fun-filled weekend.Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-85366410517302191452012-09-04T11:49:00.000+01:002012-09-04T16:19:17.871+01:00My Knight In Shining ArmourHello beautiful people,it's been so so long since i made a post here and I'm excited that this post is about the most wonderful man in the whole universe,*my fiance*..*smiles* saying that word bring so much smiles to my face.. Anyways, let me tell you guys how I met him..

His name is Mr Ekpedekumo Ebikabowei Derek. I met him about a year and five months ago in a place most people think is full of losers*2go*..we met when i was mending my broken heart and we just clicked..there was this great chemistry between us that made me know i needed to be with him..then,when he isn't online I pray silently for him to come on.*yah i have opened my yansh*.. We continued chatting and getting to know each other until,we decided to hook up..we hooked up first in my church and after the service,he took me home to cook me his jollof rice that he always boasted to me about during our chats*lol*..I'm guessing the rice did some things to me because ever since,I have never stopped loving him*lol*..

As time passed,I loved him more each day because,he is the man of my dreams.. He is sweet, handsome, loving, crazy, romantic, understanding,God fearing, great sense of humour and he is my best friend..It hasn't been all rosy but,we pulled through..I believe in fairytales and this is my fairytale... On friday 31st August,my knight in shining armour asked me to be his wife and i said YES.. So I'm engaged to the most awesome man in the whole universe,a man i love sooooooooo much........
It feels like a decade ago since i made a post but,I'm glad I'm able to make this one. Hope y'all have been fabulous? I've been great and i missed you guys.

I was thinking this morning about, how people just choose their role models by only looking at one aspect of the person's life which is usually their success stories and achievements in life thereby, forgetting the most important aspect of their lives like;morals, honesty, being trust-worthy,beliefs e.t.c. A role model to me, is a person whose behaviour, example or success is, or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people. A person who is honest, trusting and most of all open-minded. We live in a society that really doesn't allow one to be different but a role model,DARES you and themselves to be different. Your role model is a reflection of who you are so,whoever you tell people your role model is,that's who they see you as... No one can be said to be perfect because,we live in an imperfect world and we all are striving towards perfection but in our strife,we should be able to affect lives positively and make people, look up to us. Let us be able
to make people happily and readily follow the foot prints,we have left behind...for every wrong we do,we have disappointed that person that secretly sees us as their role models. Who does your colleagues, neighbors, friends, young ones, siblings and even your parents see you as?

The true mark of the superior person(role model) is that he sets high standards for himself and refuses to compromise those standards for any reason whatsoever. Some, have so negleted the need to live lives worthy of emulation and many have failed to see themselves as role models that others could look up to thereby, setting wrong examples for young ones to follow...
.the superior person
behaves at all times as if everyone is watching, even when no one is actually is. Upholding high standards for your life, will go a long way in helping you and someone out there that looks up to. Y'all should have a blessed week.Becqui Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15623377783810590824noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692656687443123033.post-68896396742856519742012-06-12T11:55:00.001+01:002012-06-12T11:55:52.964+01:00The last time i checked,God did not fail.Hey beautiful people,it's been a while and hope y'all are great? I'm fabulous. This past weekend was a very busy one for me but, thank God everything went as anticipated for. What I'm about to share with you guys is a true life experience and it happened to my friend. Sometimes in life when we are faced with a life threatening problem, some of us forget that,we have a father in heaven that can turn our situations around if only,we believe in Him. I'm just gonna give it to you exactly how she shared it with me undiluted so,just sit back and relax and if possible, grab a bottle of coke while you roll with me but please, pardon the poor writing skills. Leggoooooo

On tuesday morning,I woke up as usual, strong and healthy and after a few minutes,I felt a sharp pain on my right lower abdomen. I thought it was jes a normal pain so I continued gisting with my siblings, after sometime I felt the pain again but this time,it was excrutiating. The pains continued and at night,I couldn't sleep..there was pains everywhere,my lower back and abdominal region. I prayed silently to God to take this excrutiating pain away from me and after some minutes,I slept off. My sister adviced I go for scanning and after waking up in the morning without pains,I decided not to go for the scan but,she insisted so i went. After the scan,I was told I had 3cm fibroid..i was so much in shock and couldn't jes believe what I jes heard.the lab guy told me i have to start making babies fast. Tears filled my eyes and as I got home and showed the report to my sister, she got her bible and notepad from sunday service and read from it.
We had a communion(cabin biscuit and coke) as our head pastor told us whenever we are afflicted,we should do it. In the evening,I followed my sister to prayer meeting and after the service,we met with Pastor Chuks at the church office in choba uniport district. I told Pastor Chuks everything and also gave him the report and He asked us all to fast for 3 days with scriptures to read. That night,I still couldn't sleep cuz of the pains,my whole body was on fire and as I laid there on my bed,I prayed still to God to give me sleep.. On thursday,I forced myself to attend foundation class(for the first time) to meet with the head pastor for uniport branch,Pastor Jesam...after the class,he prayed for me and a new confidence was put in me. Whenever I felt the pains,i use the scriptures to send it away.
Saturday came, and Pastor Chuks visited us and we all prayed and the anointing of God came upon me then,i was relieved. That same night, the devil struck me again with the pains and I started speaking in tongues until I could sleep again. It took the strength of God upon me to get ready for sunday service because this time around,it was difficult for me to stand straight. Now we got into the church not knowing that,God had something great in store for me..during the praise session,I felt like sitting cuz I was tired from the long trek to where we could get a cab but,I had to force myself to stand believing God for strength..tears that I couldn't control almost blinded me and little did I know that God had already started his healing process in me cuz,at the end of the worship,me that couldn't sit without support could sit straight without leaning on anything for support. After the ministration from the choir, the head pastor for ph branch of Dominion City
Church,Pastor Mike Onyali stood at the alter and as usual, started another round of worship cuz according to him,he has to connect with God and the Holy Spirit.

During this worship,I wept uncontrollably and the first words Pastor Mike said were"there is a young lady the Holy Spirit said that the diagnosis of fibroid has been cleared and also said the abdominal pain has been healed too". I jumped and knelt down..my God remembered and healed me..He settled my case in heaven.
