Words Are Powerful

Hey guys, it's been soooo long since I posted anything and there is no good enough excuse why someone will abandon her family for so long a time and i am sorry. But in my defense, i'm now a fashion designer and it takes a lot of my time(i'll tell you guys all about it later *wink*)but still, not good enough. I'm back now for good (i pray😀)and will make up for lost times.

So recently i had a situation that birthed this post. We all know how powerful words are and how they can either create or destroy, lift up spirits or crush them, hurt and frighten us,break hearts or mend them.

Often times,we get so carried away in our anger that we say stuffs that sometimes we don't even mean but, can't be unsaid or taken back. Wrong words that has gone out of our mouths are like bullets. once they are out, they must injure and even though the person survives the shots and the injuries heal, they leave behind scars that cannot be erased. There are lots of negative words that close relatives told me back in the day that i still remember. I don't remember the words because I am resentful but i don't because, over time, i have become what they told me i couldn't be. So,negative words can be advantageous sometimes because they tend to push you and make you rise above the status-quo and be better.

Poorly timed and poorly chosen words have the ability to kill enthusiasm, break someone's heart, crushes spirits and shatters self-esteem and confidence. They also can cause deep emotional and psychological wounds that takes a very long time to heal. Words in general have as much advantages as it has disadvantages so choose them wisely.

Conclusively, think and choose your words before it leaves your mouth to your spouses, kids, neighbours and people you come in contact with everyday, don't be a toxic person. Let your timing be right if you want to criticize and don't always say the first thing that comes to your mind, when you are angry. If it helps, walk away and express your displeasure later.

Do enjoy your week and affect a life positively today. bye.... for now ciao

The Stone Cutter

This story will really make you think about
where you are in life and where you wish you
were. Maybe where you are right now is
exactly where you're meant to be.
There was once a stone cutter who was
dissatisfied with himself and with his position
in life.
One day he passed a wealthy merchant's
house. Through the open gateway, he saw
many fine possessions and important visitors.
"How powerful that merchant must be!"
thought the stone cutter. He became very
envious and wished that he could be like the
merchant.
To his great surprise, he suddenly became the
merchant, enjoying more luxuries and power
than he had ever imagined, but envied and
detested by those less wealthy than himself.
Soon a high official passed by, carried in a
sedan chair, accompanied by attendants and
escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone,
no matter how wealthy, had to bow low
before the procession. "How powerful that
official is!" he thought. " I wish that I could be
a high official!"
Then he became the high official, carried
everywhere in his embroidered sedan chair,
feared and hated by the people all around. It
was a hot summer day, so the official felt very
uncomfortable in the sticky sedan chair. He
looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in the
sky, unaffected by his presence. "How
powerful the sun is!" he thought. "I wish that
I could be the sun!"
Then he became the sun, shining fiercely
down on everyone, scorching the fields,
cursed by the farmers and laborers. But a
huge black cloud moved between him and
the earth, so that his light could no longer
shine on everything below. "How powerful
that storm cloud is!" he thought. " I wish that I
could be a cloud!"
Then he became the cloud, flooding the fields
and villages, shouted at by everyone. But
soon he found that he was being pushed
away by some great force, and realized that it
was the wind. "How powerful it is!" he
thought. " I wish that I could be the wind!"
Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off
the roofs of houses, uprooting trees, feared
and hated by all below him. But after a while,
he ran up against something that would not
move, no matter how forcefully he blew
against it - a huge, towering rock. "How
powerful that rock is!" he thought. "I wish
that I could be a rock!"
Then he became the rock, more powerful
than anything else on earth. But as he stood
there, he heard the sound of a hammer
pounding a chisel into the hard surface, and
felt himself being changed. "What could be
more powerful than I, the rock?" he thought.
He looked down and saw far below him the
figure of a stone cutter.

Back

Hey lovelies (covers face) I trust you guys have been very okay and doing wonderfully well..yes? I am really sorry for going AWOL and I feel so guilty for been away from this wonderful family for sooooooo long. Hope I've been forgiven (shines teeth).

Well since I've been away, lots of stuffs has happened in my life that I can only be grateful to God for. First,I finally went for service last year November after been kept at home for quite a long time. (I know it's stale news though and I should have shared it since with you guys but since I'm back,I'm gonna update y'all with every significant stuff that has happened in my life). Back to the service,I made quite a few friends in camp but I've been close to one ever since till date. Camp had its fun times but,I was more of the people that were counting the days to run fast so I can get out. That's all about NYSC and its wahala for now.

On May 2nd and 3rd,I tied the knot with my beau. I never knew planning a wedding could be that exasperating. From taking care of the little details because,we didn't hire a planner to,tolerating very annoying relatives but in all it was a very successful and colourful event and I can't help, but be grateful to God for both a successful ceremony and the wonderful man He blessed me with.

Now,guess what more blessing God has blessed us with? Well.............. I'm going to let you guys keep guessing cuz,I ain't spilling any more gist for now...hehehehehe. See y'all pretty soon and you guys should continue to have a blessed week. Ciao

Good Deeds

Hey blogsville,I trust you'all are wonderful and having a great week. yes? I'm as cool as ever. Now let's get to today's topic:

So I was reading again the story of Tabitha(Dorcas) in the bible after so many years cuz,the last time before this one was in Religious class in Secondary school...the story became more interesting cuz,I had a more revealing understanding of who she really was. She affected the lives of those around her with her good deeds that even in death,it still spoke for her. She gave alms to the poor, made garments for widows and I'm sure they couldn't imagine life without her when she died hence, they sent for Apostle Peter.. That's exactly the kind of woman i want to be. Also the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman, did excellent works and it was said of her that; ""Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all."

Some people just can't help themselves from doing evil cuz they actually derive pleasure, from seeing people suffer.. I'll say they're weak cuz it's a lot more easier,to do wickedly than to do good.

Below, are some good deed quotes by great men:

*Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth,so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life,
one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.

Buddha

*Life is short and if you're looking for extension, you had best do well. 'Cause there's good deeds and then there's good intentions. They are as far apart as Heaven and Hell.

Ben Harper

*To be doing good deeds is man's most glorious task.

Sophocles

*Let each man think himself an act of God, His mind a thought, his life a breath of God; And let each try, by great thoughts and good deeds, To
show the most of Heaven he hath in him.

Philip James Bailey

Do a good deed today as y'all have,a great week.

Fear

For those who knows the devil for who he really is,will agree that he is a trickster, the father of lies and deceit thus, fear is just one of his many lies.

Many are still trapped in this web called, FEAR and it has reduced them to nothingness and a life of misery but,our fears cannot overwhelm us again cuz we have hope in Christ and He has told us that, we should fear not for He is with us.. So instead of being afraid of the future and whatever it is,that has instilled fear in you,you should turn all your fears, worries and cares to the One who can replace it all with, undeniable peace.....
